Product Description
Pre-crimping wire enables the mesh to lock together, creating a tight weave with good rigidity and pleasing aesthetics. This mesh is used extensively in architectural applications as infill panels, cages, and decoration. It also serves purposes in acoustics, filtration, bridge guards, aerospace parts, rodent control, and truck grills.
Weave Types
  • Lock Crimp: Made to hold accurate openings with straight sections of fill wires woven within straight sections of warp wires in an alternating pattern.
  • Double Crimp: Square pattern wire cloth using equal-sized warp and fill wires woven in an alternating pattern at adjacent intersections.
  • Intercrimp: Crimped warp wires filled at every other crimp for superior rigidity and stability, popular for screens and architectural uses.
  • Flat Top: All crimping offset to one side producing a single plane on top for smooth material flow across the surface.

Locked crimped wire meshes are made by weaving pre-locked wires. Single locked crimped mesh features wires crossing over alternately at intersection points with non-crimped wire sections, while double locked crimped mesh has wires crossing at each crimping. This construction provides particular stiffness, enabling greater precision even with wide mesh openings, and allows production of panels with exceptionally smooth surfaces.
